Welcome to the SocioPoetix Database!

Explore our growing library of spoken word poems — searchable by sociology themes and keywords.

Each poem here is organized and clearly tagged to help you find spoken word performances on the topics that matter most to you. As you explore, you’ll see how poets give voice to questions of power, identity, culture, inequality, and change — across themes like race, gender, family, politics, and popular culture. This collection invites you to discover connections between these powerful performances and the bigger patterns that shape our everyday lives.
